Fleas are still a problem when it's cold out!

Many owners have been calling us recently with flea problems with their pet even though it's cold outside. This is not unusual. Fleas are really a year-round problem in NJ. There are two things we can do to help:

Schedule a grooming appointment. We can do an antiparasite bath for the pet which would cost $12 in addition to the normal price of the bath or haircut. It would kill any existing fleas that are on your pet and remove the flea dirt.

Purchase Frontline Plus from us and apply it to your pet. Frontline is sold in 3 month packages and ranges in price between $39 and $52 depending on the type and size pet you have. It is a very effective topical treatment that works through the pet's skin system to kill fleas, ticks, and flea eggs.

In this video Merial, the manufacturer of Frontline Plus shows how to apply Frontline correctly and gives important info about what Frontline can do to help you.

  1. Stopping fleas and ticks with removers such as Frontline Plus For Dogs is just part of the battle. You should always look for hidden causes of fleas and ticks and make sure your dog does not go near an infested area.
